Strengthening Our Community
Board Nominations
Board of Directors
CHAMBER MISSION STATEMENT: Our job is to advocate, connect, educate, and champion
businesses in the North Jefferson community and, in doing so, strengthen the communities we
serve.
The North Jefferson Chamber of Commerce is looking for board members who are genuinely invested in the success of our business community and the future of North Jefferson.
An ideal board member is a leader who is engaged, dependable, collaborative, and willing to contribute their time, perspective, relationships, and talents to help move the Chamber forward. We are looking for individuals who understand that board service requires looking beyond their own business, organization, or community and making decisions based on what best serves the Chamber, its membership, and the region as a whole.
Strong board members bring their individual experience and expertise to the table while remaining open to different perspectives. They think strategically, ask thoughtful questions, support collective decisions, maintain confidentiality when appropriate, and understand the importance of good governance. They are willing to make introductions, support Chamber programs and events, identify opportunities, and step in when their knowledge or connections can make a difference.
We value board members who can see the bigger picture. As the Chamber continues to grow, we need leaders who are excited about what is possible for all of North Jefferson and who are willing to work alongside others to help make that vision a reality.
Most importantly, we are looking for people who believe in the Chamber’s mission to advocate, connect, educate, and champion our members—and who are ready to put that mission at the center of their board service.
Serving on the North Jefferson Chamber Board is more than holding a position. It is a commitment to thoughtful leadership, responsible governance, and helping shape the future of a growing organization and the business community it serves.
